Knotty Pine interior walls

I'm looking for any advice on installing knotty pine interior walls. I am leaning towards the pine for the livingroom/kitchen and loft. Also I'll need any tips I can get on installing drywall. If anyone has any advice I'd sure like to hear from you. Also need to consider insullation. Cost IS an issue and we're looking to save anyway we can. Ideas Anyone?

This may sound a little strange but the best insulation is paper. Save all your old newspaper and wad it up then tack it to the ceiling. Same applies to any used toilet paper. I'm a firm believer in recycling, so just a quick rinse under lukewarm water and your toilet paper is good to go. Of course you'll need to let it dry first. Try laying it in the sun for best results. This helps with firming the paper back up. There are other items that I would suggest to you for insulation also if you are a recycler. For instance did you know you can use the inside of old used shoes. Shoes are made for keeping your feet warm, so the pad inside is intentionally made for warmth. Simply pull them out of old shoes and staple them to the ceiling. I have many other helpful hints to provide you with along your journey of building. I will keep watch and respond as I see fit. Good Luck.
